Associations, awards and partner schools

The Institute's co-badging associations, the Global Spa & Wellness Awards, and how a spa school, salon academy or employer becomes a partner for practical hours and graduate placement.

Three kinds of partner make the courses work: the associations that co-badge the certificates and give their members discounts; the awards programme that recognises graduates' spas; and the schools and employers who host the practical hours our online courses cannot deliver.

Co-badging associations

The Spa & Wellness Association of Canada and the Spa & Wellness Association of India co-badge the Spa Management Certificate, the Diploma and CSM-ISM. The Salon Association of India co-badges the Beautician and Salon Management courses; the Spa Association of China is a network partner.

Global Spa & Wellness Awards

The Global Spa & Wellness Awards recognise spas, salons and managers across twenty categories. Certified managers' spas are eligible for the Managed Spa of the Year category; faculty sit on the jury and recuse themselves from any entry they have taught.

Partner schools and employers

A partner school delivers the practical half of the Therapist Foundation and Beautician courses and can offer the Institute's theory instead of its own. A partner employer hosts logged practical hours and can search the graduate register first. There is no fee to become either; there is a standards agreement. Contact admissions.

Not partners

We take no commission from software vendors, product houses or equipment suppliers, and none currently sponsor the Institute. If that changes, this page will say so.
